My name is James Sturcke, and I am a professional photographer specialising in commercial and editorial photography. I am based in La Rioja and regularly work with companies, individuals, publications, and organisations in the Basque Country, Navarra, Cantabria, the Pyrenees, and throughout Spain, particularly in the northern part of the country.
I create images with life, character, and a sense of place, blending a documentary eye with a natural, careful approach. My work covers commercial photography, gastronomy, portraits, events, and editorial projects. Since I speak both Spanish and English, I work a lot with international companies and individuals, adapting to the needs and personality of each assignment.

I love photographing the people, places, and details that make every project unique. Whether it's a brand campaign, a food feature, a corporate portrait, or event coverage, I aim for natural, personality-driven images that tell the story.
Before becoming a photographer, I worked as a journalist for The Guardian in London. That experience continues to shape the way I work: observing, moving discreetly, and finding the moments and details that help tell a story.
