My name is James Sturcke, and I am a professional photographer specialising in commercial and editorial photography. I am based in La Rioja and regularly work with companies, individuals, publications, and organisations in Bilbao, Bizkaia , and other parts of the Basque Country.
I create vibrant, characterful images with a strong sense of place, combining a documentary eye with a natural, careful approach. My work covers advertising, food, portraits, events, and editorial projects, always adapting to the needs and personality of each assignment.

Before becoming a photographer, I worked as a correspondent for The Guardian in London. That experience continues to shape the way I work: observing, moving discreetly, and finding the moments and details that help tell a story.
