My name is James Sturcke, and I am a professional photographer specialising in commercial and editorial photography. I am based in La Rioja and regularly work with companies, individuals, publications, and organisations in the Basque Country, Navarra, Cantabria, the Pyrenees, and throughout northern Spain.
I create images with life, character, and a sense of place, blending a documentary eye with a natural, careful approach. My work covers commercial photography, gastronomy, portraits, events, and editorial projects. Since I speak both Spanish and English, I work a lot with international companies and individuals, adapting to the needs and personality of each assignment.

Before becoming a photographer, I worked as a journalist for The Guardian in London. That experience continues to shape the way I work: observing, moving discreetly, and finding the moments and details that help tell a story.
